Just wondering about the figure--shouldn't card sorting be under generative rather than evaluative? It's listed along with other generative research techniques in the text.

You are right: in my text I was mainly referring to open card sorting, which is a generative research method.
Closed card sorting - where the researcher comes up with the categories in advance - could be more on the evaluative side :).
